The decor and ambience of the ship gave a feeling of calm and relaxation not found on other cruises. The feeling of no pressured sales of alcohol and no "Butlin Style Sailaways" gave a serenity to the ship. It did not fail to create a holiday atmosphere though as there was sufficient music and on board entertainment to set a cheerful mood.
The entertainment was great around the ship and the wonderful ballroom was a fabulous space to dance the night away and to enjoy afternoon tea with the attentive staff.
The dining experience was enjoyable with excellent service although a little robotic.
Positives of Cruise
Overall the cleanliness of the ship was very good and that is very important to me on any holiday. Public areas and the cabin I could not fault for the attention to detail. A comfortable bed too. The best part of the cruise was the classical entertainment, especially the harpist.
Negatives of Cruise
The resident entertainers lacked something and failed to make a connection with the audience. The cruise director need to be replaced.
