You have all the time in the world to sit back and be entertained in a wide variety of ways as you cruise across the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2. The lectures at sea are delivered by famous speakers who are experts on a wide range of subjects and are able to offer entertaining talks that will be of interest to most of the passengers on the ship. Some of the cruises have featured well-known authors who talk about their books and do book signings for the cruisers.

Lavish evening shows take place in the Royal Court Theatre with two show times – 8:45 and 10:45, which are designed to coincide with the ending times of the dinner sittings in the restaurants. There is also entertainment in this venue in the form of an afternoon matinee at 2:30 each day.

Passengers who have accommodations in the Britannia category on the Queen Mary 2 can join the captain for cocktails in the Queens Room for one evening of the cruise with two 45-minute sittings to choose from. Dance in the largest ballroom at sea for the Royal Night Black and White Ball as you glide across the floor to the music of the orchestra.

In the Illuminations you have a planetarium at sea where you can enjoy a range of films, which change from day to day, but seating is limited to 150 passengers. Engage in spinning and other classes in the fitness center or participate in line dancing classes. Take a tour of the ship, play bingo or purchase a piece of art work at one of the art auctions onboard.

The two-level disco is another venue where you can enjoy dancing in the evening hours. This venue, named G32 is a very popular spot on the ship in spite of its location behind the Queens Room. The Queen Mary 2 has a variety of bars and lounges, such as the Golden Lion Pub, Samuel’s Wine Bar and the Chart Room. One of the unique touches to this cruise ship is the seven different varieties of champagne you can taste at the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar.
