There are three main dining rooms on the Queen Mary 2, but seating in these venues is assigned by accommodations category. Those who dine in the Queens Grill Restaurant are those who book one of the luxurious suites on the ship. Those with accommodations in the P category dine at the Princess Grill. Both venues are quite luxurious and offer a delightful menu for all three meals of the day. The vast majority of the passengers on this ship are assigned to yet a third dining room, the Britannia. There is open seating for breakfast and lunch, but there is assigned seating in all three venues for dinner.

If buffet is more your style for some of the evenings of your cruise on the Queen Mary 2, Kings Court will satisfy you to no end. This is located on Deck 7 and features seven different themed areas allowing you an expansive choice in your food selections for any of your meals. Each one serves pretty much the same menu for breakfast, but for the rest of the day you can choose the specialty that suits your dining needs at the moment, such as Italian, Asian, roast meats and more.

Lotus is a restaurant on the Queen Mary 2 that specializes entirely in Asian cuisine with mouthwatering menus to choose from. The Chef’s Galley, which is adjacent to Kings Court, is an open kitchen where the chef prepares your meal as you watch. Although it is open every evening of a cruise, it is best to make reservations if you hope to get a seat because it is quite popular with the passengers.

If you need something light to carry you through the afternoon and don’t want to spoil your dinner, you can have a snack at La Piazza. For those who like to eat late at night, The Carvery is open from 11 p.m. until 5 in the morning, which means you don’t have to go to bed hungry after a late night in one of the lounges. Here you can pick up your favourite fast foods, such as burgers, fries and hot dogs.

Todd English is the alternative restaurant on the Queen Mary 2 where you can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine prepared by the chef of the same name –a leading American chef who has received many awards.
On Deck 12 there are two other venues for casual dining – the Boardwalk Cafe and the Pavilion Pool Cafe. The Boardwalk is not open when the weather is unsuitable for dining outdoors. Have High Tea in the afternoon at the Queen’s Grill, but this is reserved for those with suite accommodations.
